1) Yesterday i went to watch the Thomas Cup Badminton Quaterfinals between Malaysia and Denmark at the Putra Stadium, Bukit Jalil.
2) Really had a good time. We won by just a difference in 1 point. Mohd Hafiz Hashim turns out to be the hero contributing the last vital point. I was quite relieved and so happy considering a string of bad performances against Japan two days ago.
3) That's not the only reason i was happy. Malaysian consists of various different races. We have Indians, Malays, Chinese and many more. I was so happy to see us united cheering for our team despite our differences in race, religion and political views.
4) We Malaysian are very passionate about our badminton. Thomas Cup is like the World Cup of football. When it comes to badminton, i'm happy to see us together screaming, dancing, cheering and clapping supporting our players. Probably this was one of the time I feel the sense of togetherness amongst us Malaysian. No matter who you are, what your race or religion, let's cheer for our team, the Malaysian Badminton team. :-)
5) I smiled when i saw a Chinese 'aunty' dancing around celebrating various points won by the players. Beside her was a Malay guy cheering and shouting off his throat happily. I think badminton really brings the nation together united as one. I love this sport!
6) Will watch the semi-final tomorrow cheering and dancing! Yeah!
